15 Most Anticipated Quest Games Of 2022!
2021 was a great year for VR. It brought us Resident Evil 4, Puzzling Places, Demeo, After The Fall, I Expect You To Die 2, and many many other wonderful titles.Time sure flies when you're having fun!
But what about 2022? What can we expect to see? I've created a list here (complete with trailers!) of some of the most anticipated games we're looking forward to releasing on the Quest platform.
Green Hell VR
Synopsis: Green Hell VR is an Open World Survival Experience set in the Amazon rainforest, based on the successful PC game Green Hell. You are left alone in the jungle with no food or equipment. To survive, you must learn real-life survival techniques, and crafting weapons can be a matter of life and death.
What We Know So Far: Green hell started off as a popular survival desktop game - now being brought to VR! Initially scheduled to release late 2021, the game got pushed back a bit to work on testing and polishing. A coop mode has also been confirmed, though stated that it will probably come out in an update sometime after release.

Cities: VR
Synopsis: Cities: VR lets you design neighborhoods, construct buildings, and direct the flow of traffic—all while you handle economics, emergency services, and more. Running a city isn’t all fun and lanes, however. As the mayor of your city, you’re responsible for more than its architecture. To attract new residents and help your city flourish, you’ll also need to provide healthcare, education, entertainment, and more to your growing population.
What We Know So Far: Cities: VR is based off the 2015 desktop game Cities: Skyline and is being developed and published by Fast Travel Games (also behind The Curious Tale of Stolen Pets and Wraith: The Oblivion - Afterlife).

Little Cities
Synopsis: Create your own little city and lean in to watch it come to life. See residents move in and populate your island as it grows from a humble village to a bustling metropolis. Design the layout, strategically plot amenities, and make a perfect city where your citizens love to live. Easy to pick up and play but with lots to discover, Little Cities makes your biggest creations possible!
What We Know So Far: Looks like we'll be having two city builder games out this year! You start off on an island and start building out your residential homes and shops, later on you'll be able to build larger attractions like aquariums, and face natural disasters.

The Exorcist Legion: SIN
Synopsis: The game advances the chilling story line and mythology with both single player and co-operative game play as well as some other mechanics and play styles never seen before in a horror co-op game. Exorcist friends, you will love this!
What We Know So Far: The sequel to The Exorcist Legion VR, Sin (Safety In Numbers) interestingly promises co-op alongside being a single player experience, which it did not feature in the original game. Not much has been revealed yet, but it is being produced by Fun Train, the company behind Tarzan VR and a VR Twilight Zone game (currently in development) as well.

Propagation: Paradise Hotel
Synopsis: Live an intense VR survival horror adventure with gripping storytelling, in which you will explore dark environments, make terrifying encounters and get your adrenaline pumping. Will you find your way out of the Paradise Hotel alive?
What We Know So Far: Wanadev Studios started off creating Propagation VR, a short experience in which you (and a friend, if you so choose) defend yourselves against waves of infected, spiders, and other creatures. This time Propagation: Paradise Hotel will be a full fledged title.

Ziggy's Cosmic Adventures
Synopsis: Ziggy's Cosmic Adventures is a fully immersive cockpit VR game set in a stunning universe. Fight your way through the solar system amidst intense arcade combat, navigate through treacherous space environments, and feel the rush of scrambling to manage your ship's systems.
What We Know So Far: After stealing their adorable research subject, you pilot a spaceship being pursued by a bunch of unhappy aliens. Not only can you pilot your ship but you can also walk around it and explore!

Ultimechs
Synopsis: Ultimechs is the multiplayer VR gaming experience from Resolution Games that will be coming to major VR platforms. As the thrill of professional athletics meets the precision of purpose-built machines, Ultimechs welcomes players into the sport of the future to compete for victory. If you don’t have the speed, precision and rocketry that it takes to defeat your opponents, you’re done for.
What We Know So Far: Ultimechs looks a bit like Rocket League but in VR, where mechs battle it out in a virtual version of soccer. Based on a teaser tweet there seems to be a loadout selection and list of available arenas.

Outlier
Synopsis: Outlier is an adventure roguelite VR game featuring FPS and RPG elements. Control and mix various abilities, utilise an array of weapons, and explore breathtaking worlds, making for a diverse and progressive gameplay experience.
You are a captain of one of the last human arks. In search of a new home for humanity, your vessel was sucked into a black hole. From your position beyond space and time, you witness an unknown race devastating what looks like a habitable solar system. The unknown physics of the black hole endow you with mysterious powers and allow you to exist in parallel worlds. Live, die, and repeat in your quest to conquer at least one of these worlds in the name of mankind.
What We Know So Far: Joyway Games, the studio behind the fast paced parkour VR game Stride and the film noir rhythm game Against are at it again, this time with a procedurally generated VR FPS roguelite. Outlier also seems to have an interesting weapons and spells - featuring a pistol powered by crystals, and a pistol like gun that instead of shooting bullets, shoots pieces of itself, and magic like abilities which can be changed by plugging in modules in the back of your gloves.

Among Us VR
Synopsis: Among Us VR is a party game of teamwork and betrayal. Crewmates work together in this virtual world to complete tasks before one or more Impostors can kill everyone aboard. All of the same betrayal and deceit as the original game, but now in your own virtual Skeld.
What We Know So Far: The original (desktop) hit game Among Us is coming to VR! The team behind the VR adaptation is Schell Games, creators of Until You Fall and the I Expect You to Die series. The game will reportedly be keeping its core mechanics, but adding full motion controller support and of course, you become the crewmate in first person!

Splinter Cell and Assassins Creed VR
What We Know So Far: Both an Assassins Creed and a Splinter Cell game for the Quest platform were announced at Facebook Connect 2020, and we are still eagerly awaiting more news. "Both projects are being led by Ubisoft’s Red Storm Entertainment, known for their work on VR titles like Werewolves Within and Star Trek: Bridge Crew, as well as their pioneering work on the Tom Clancy series with such games as the original Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon."

GTA San Andreas VR
What We Know So Far: A for VR remake of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was announced at Facebook Connect 2021. A VR debug command was found within the game's engine that allows the game to run in first person, so its speculated that the VR version may run from a first person perspective as well. Based on size and past AAA titles, it's expected to cost at least $40, though this is all just a best guess.

The Last Clockwinder
Synopsis: The Last Clockwinder is a VR game about building contraptions out of your own clones. You are on a mission to repair an ancient clocktower built into the trunk of a colossal tree. Inside the tower, you find a pair of gloves that allow you to turn anything you do into a looping clockwork automaton. Use your automatons to grow plants, harvest resources, build wild contraptions, and find a way to save the clocktower.
What We Know So Far: In The Last Clockwinder, it seems you can use a chain of robots programmed by movements of your own body in order to finish a task - an interesting concept!

Cosmonious High
Synopsis: Welcome to Cosmonious High, new kid! Owlchemy Labs presents an out-of-this-world VR experience with their hallmark interactivity and distinctive humor. Meet a colorful cast, adapt outrageous alien powers, and discover the source of the school’s malfunctions to save Cosmonious High from chaos.
What We Know So Far: Owlchemy Labs is the team behind Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator, so you can expect a lot of world and object interactivity. The developers also note that this is their largest game world to date and will give players the choice of where to travel. You seem to gain certain powers under pressure, and the game also seems to feature some sort of communication system with the other students and teachers using emojis.

The Last Worker
Synopsis: The Last Worker is a first person narrative adventure centered around our struggle in an increasingly automated world.
What We Know So Far: Besides the beautiful, unique cell shaded graphics, The Last Worker seems like it will be very story heavy. We don't know too much about combat yet, but the trailer does showcase some sort of gravity gun like device used to pick up items.

Nerf Ultimate Championship
Synopsis: NERF Ultimate Championship is a competitive multiplayer game that brings NERF battles into an electrifying competition only possible in virtual reality. Gear up with a wide range of new and classic blasters as you leap around fantastic arenas in intense 4v4 team matches. Soak in the sound of roaring fans and master your skills as you begin your journey to become the Ultimate NERF Champion.
What We Know So Far: NERF Ultimate Championship as the name implies, will be an arena styled game featuring iconic foam dart guns. It also appears wall running will be a feature, as well as realistic gun loading and dual wielding.
